Yesterday we went to the Start-up contest, because we had been selected. We went to Plaça Espanay with another group, Technosport. There, we presented our projects with other students from other schools. The jury listened to us and they explained their thoughts about our project.
It has been a good experience and we think that we have learnt how to be an entrepreneur.

reflexion day
Today it was the last day of Paul with us. After yesterday's presentations, we had a reflexion day. First, he congratulated to all of us for our effort and improvement.
Later, he asked us to think about all the capabilities that we've improved through this year and the ones we wish we could do more. Some answers that came out were the capacity to speak in public, improve our English, be less timid, be more creative, etc. Still, we said that we would like to be more spontaneous and even improve further our English and oral skills.
In the end, Paul sang a song for us. We were very happy but sad to see Paul leave. We will miss him!

THE BIG DAY: presentation to our family
It was the big day for all of us, since at 3pm we had scheduled the presentation of all our work during the year to our parents and family, as well as teachers and other students from our school.
We were all really nervous. In the last few days we had made many rehearsals, in the school with our teachers, and at home ourselves, in our group.
Some changes at the very last time, but... it all went really well!!! Everyone performed at our best, and in the end we were really pleased with our presentations. And our parents were also so happy!!

Final rehearsal for the presentations
Today all groups have done their final rehearsal of the oral presentation, through the two hours available, since next week... it's the big EVENT!! Our families will come on Tuesday 14th at 3pm to see us explaining our project in front of them.

Besides, those groups who were selected for the Start Up contest have the semifinals next week, so it will be an extremely busy and frantic week, and we all will be very nervous!
Let's hope our preparation will show.

Visit of an entrepreneur - Quim Fàbregas
Today Quim Fàbregas, a photographer. He explained to us his life since 1999. He travelled 46 times to Senegal and Gambia. In 2004 he opened a company but in 2008 he closed it because during these years the crisis started. In 2009 he opened Ethnic Africa to go to Senegal to take photos and help people. He opened a football club of the village in the south of Senegal. Thanks to the money obtained, he spent in travelling to the villages. They upgraded a lot of constructions like the dispenser where they helped the pregnant women. He travelled fourteen times a year. He gave us one photo from his trips to everyone.
Quim Fàbregas: I think his projects
are really inspiring because he spends a lot of money and time to help other
people without luxuries. He is very dedicated and passionate about it. His friends
help him a lot and also people that he doesn’t really know but who are kind and want
to help giving money. He is a role model for me and a guess for all those kids
in Senegal.
He is like a
father for those kids because he helps them because he wants to, not because he
wants money for it. Although his project is hard or difficult to do he goes
ahead with it which is really good.

Today has been another amazing class with Paul!!
Wednesday 16th April. First we had to think about 10 ways to change the
world. He wrote all the things we told him in a paper and we all singed it, so
from now on we’ll try to do them.
Then we
played a game that consisted in going from one side of the classroom to the
other in exactly 2 minutes while we were answering questions about our
projects. The Nital Company won so they will have an award that Paul will give
them next week. Finally we saw the Nital Company’s promotional video.
Then after the break we went to the computers science
room and we have been very busy working on our projects!!

Start-Up contest
Some of our companies have been chosen as finalists for the Start-Up contest. Today we attended the presentation of this final stage of the contest, and each of our companies met our "mentor", a professional who is going to guide us through next weeks in order to improve further our project. And then in May we will hand in a written Business Plan and present the company in front of a jury. It looks like a lot of work, but we liked a lot our mentors and we feel very enthusiastic about this challenge!!

Viewing our promotional videos
Today is the first day after Easter’s Holidays. When
the class starts Paul suggest us to do a relaxing activity. The activity
consisted of dingo a massage to one of our schoolmates. When the activity
finished, Paul explained us his holidays. He travelled to the UK to visit his
family. In the UK the weather was -10ºC, and he also said that his mum cut his
hair. He really had a bad cut!!
Afterwards, we started showing our promotional videos, which was the homework for Easter. The first video was from TechnoSports: they showed images in skates and surf, where appeared one member of their company. The second video was from TechnoMode, and it consisted in showing different products and their advantages. Next company was Travellers: their video explained us the benefits of their services. And the last one was from EasyWorld: in their video they showed many people speaking different languages, because their company is based on language services.

"Challenge" day
Today was
the last day before Easter’s Holidays. It was fantastic. Paul wrote on the
board three challenges. The first challenge was very funny, we sat with our
groups and we had to go to his table one by one. He had a sheet of paper with a
drawing. We had to memorize it and copy exactly on our group’s paper.
After, the
second challenge was to explain our project in 20 words, then in 10 and
finally, 5. The last challenge was to write 5 things we would need if we were
in an island alone. After this, Paul sang a song, “Imagine” with us and the
teachers.
And now all
the groups are thinking about the adverts we have to do in our holidays.

Marketing plan and more
Today we
had a lot of fun!! First Paul presented us Joan, who came to see what we do in our enterpreneur class and to give some advices. Janette also came
to our class, she is a German teacher
staying in our school for three weeks in order to see how a Spanish
school works. Then we played two games. The first game, chain word, consisted
in saying a word with the last letter of the word that the person next to you
told. The second game was the ‘’telephone’’.
After that we made diferent poses of traveling and our teachers took us a “living photo”.
Then we, Lekel company, presented our marketing plan and Tecno Sports presented them business plan. Paul and Joan told us some advices and ideas about it, which was very helpful.
Some of those advices were that we have to talk clearly so people can understand us. Paul told us our homework: to make a blog or a radio advert or a promotional video for next week. Joan had a really good idea: to connect the link of the blog with the diferent social networks so people will know more about our company. They helped us a lot!!

Team work
We worked a lot in teams today. First we started listening the "I have a dream" speech from Martin Luther King and then in groups we had to write on a piece of paper our feelings about it.
After that, it was Travellers' company to do a performance for the rest of the class, and they organised the telephone game, which was fun. We ended the hour playing another game, to work on communication between peers and rythm, which was the "president and the secretary".
On the second hour, we went to the IT room and worked on improving the written conceptualisation and definition of our companies, its products/services, the benefits they offer, the target audience they are addressed to... all this is reflected in a formal document in order to apply for a entrepreneur contest organised by Fundació Escola Emprenedors.

Improving observation abilities
Today in Entrepreneurs two groups
(Nital Gym and Techno Sports) presented their pricing and financing plan. Then, we
watched some videos about “observation” and they showed us that we must pay
attention in everything and not in one thing, and that often if we don't expect something, we don't get to see it then.
When the videos finished, Paul talked about about the next step in the project: how we can communicate our project to people.
Finally, a group offered us a performance: this time it was about painting your nails in a very original way. We were astonished, had never seen it!!
